WILLIS - Private John Willis, 2nd Battalion, Royal Fusiliers, only son of Mrs. W. M. Macfarlane, died December 13, of blood poisoning, at Mudros Hospital.
The sad news of the death from blood poisoning of Private John Willis, only son, of Mrs. McFarlane, of Wordsley, Double Bay, has caused widespread regret in Sydney. Private Willis left his ranch in South America at the outbreak of the war, and though offered a commission in the Imperial Army, preferred to enlist as a private, and was attached to tho Royal, Fusiliers. He died at Mudros Hospital on December 13.
