Son of James Andrew ROBERTSON and Marion Beatrice nee ROBERTS of "Glenhu", Rectory Lane, Liphook, Hants.
ROBERTSON.—In sad but loving memory of Corporal Noel Sydney Robertson, Honourable-Artillery Company, B.E.F., France, and dearly loved son of M. Beatrice Robertson, Borogreen, Kent, England, who was killed in action at Bullecourt, May 3rd, 1917.
No cross records his well-beloved name,
No tomb in days to come shall tell
In golden letters of the fame
That crowned him even as he fell.
What matter if no sign may show
Where rests at last his honoured dust,
Whose life and death have bid us know
The strength of perfect love and trust.
ROBERTSON.—In loving memory of Noel Sydney Robertson, Honourable Artillery Company, B.E.F., who was killed in action at Bullecourt, May 3rd, 1917.
He died the noblest death a man can die,
Fighting for God, and right, and liberty;
And such a death is immortality.
Inserted by his sad and sorrowing mother, M. Beatrice Robertson, Church Stretton, Shropshire, England.
