Son of Mrs. A. de Gruchy (formerly Mary Alice Mayall EDMONDSTONE nee THOMAS), of Melbourne, Australia, and the late James Stewart Edmondstone.

HE IS QUIETLY CALLING US FROM PARALYSING GRIEF TO HIGH ENDEAVOUR

Edmonstone who served with the London Regiment 16th Battalion of the Queen's Westminster Rifles received a wound to the stomach died at the 65th clearing casualty station at Imara, just a few miles north of Beersheba on 07 November 1917.

EDMONSTONE.—Died of wounds in Palestine, Lieutenant Norman Edmonstone (Old Wesley Collegian), the dearly loved stepson of Lieutenant and son of Mrs. Arthur De Gruchy, aged 21.
