Biography contributed

Sergent 6283 2nd Battalion (6th Foot) the Royal Warwickshire Regiment.

Second son of Robert Henry EDINBURGH of 2 Yew Tree Troad, Aston, Birmingham, Carpenter,  and Sarah daughter of Thomas HARRIS.

Born in Adelaide he was educated at Birmingham and was a railway porter when he enlisted 2nd September 1914 after the outbreak of war and served with the Expeditionary Force in France and Flanders from 7 May 1915 and was killed in action 3 September 1916.

Lieut-Col. A.G. Pritchard wrote : - "Your son was my orderly, and I was only a few yards away from him when he was killed...  I liked him very much: he was an excellent man and bore a splendid character.
