Son of Thomas Martin LOCKHART and Amelia Agnes nee ASHTON
Friends of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Lockhart of Bunbury, will be interested to learn that their son George, who left Bunbury some time ago in the S.S. Bia, has joined the Scottish Rifles. George visited South Africa first, then India and now writes -: "On reaching Glasgow I thought I would do my little bit for my country, and joined the Rifles. By the time you read this, I will be at the front". - 1 April 1915
LOCKHART.—Killed in action at the Dardanelles on June 28, 1915 (previously reported missing), Private George Lockhart, 1st 8th Scottish Rifles, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Lockhart, of South Bunbury.
He gave his life for King, for home and country. Victorian papers please copy.
