Add my storyBiography contributed by Stephen Brooks
Harold Flood was one of three Tasmania brothers who enlisted during WW1, with only one returning home. Harold’s younger brother, 192 Cpl. Ralph Cecil Flood, who he had enlisted with, was killed in action during October 1917 with the 40th Battalion, aged 22. Another brother, who had enlisted in 1914, Cyril Flood, was returned to Australia in late 1918.
Harold had only disembarked in late August 1916 and was admitted straight to a Military Hospital at Devonport in England, from the voyage. He died of enteric, or typhoid fever, just over a month later.
