He was 18 and the son  of Susan Beeten, of Polding St., Yass, New South Wales, and the late John Beeten.

DEATH OF YASS SOLDIER.
A wire reached Yass on Monday conveying the sad intelligence that Bugler Fred Beeten had been shot dead at the front.
