6211 Henry Claude Mitchell
Henry was the only Male Child until his brother Harold was born 09 Apr 1911. He was one of eight.
Father: Claude William Mitchell
Mother: Ann Jemima Phylis Mitchell nee McNamara
When Henry enlisted in the AIF his middle name was Charles.
When he was Killed in Action and it was reported back to his parents, His Father Claude disputed whether they had the right person as his son was Henry Claude Mitchell not Henry Charles Mitchell.
Claude requested that the Memorial Placque be changed to reflect his sons correct name, despite the enlistment paperwork clearly stating his middle name as Charles.
