Biography

1269 Private Patrick O'Halloran

He  returned  to  Australia  sick  29  Jul  1915, to  Melbourne  for  recovery. He  then  did  guard  duty  for  one  year  at  Victoria  Barracks,  Sydney.  He  stated  his  age  on  enlistment  as  45  when  in  fact  he  was  56  years  of  age  at  time  of  discharge  in  1916.

He  was  married  with  six  children  when  he  enlisted,  but  he  never  returned  to  his  wife  and  family  after  that.

Patrick had an alias of James Jamieson but did not serve under the name of Jamieson. Husband of Bridget O'Halloran address unknown however on his attestation paper he stated that his marital status was single.

Next of kin given as M Hanhrahan of Mile Tree, Clonmal County Tipperary, Ireland.

In 1916 the address given as Lonsdale Street, West Melbourne, Victoria.

Commenced return to Australia on 29 July 1915 aboard HT Hororata disembarking on 25 August 1915
