Son of Dennis F. O'Rourke and Ellen O'Rourke nee Spilane of 'Ercildoune', Burrumbeet, Victoria.
Commenced return to Australia on 15 June 1919 aboard HT Essex disembarking on 25 July 1919
During 1922c Denis married Dorothy Florence Kelly in Victoria. Dorothy died in 1923c
