From that time until 24/5/17 Duncan was attached to 67th Battalion as an instructor. He commenced at No.6 Officers Cadet Battalion on 5/7/17.
31 Oct 1917: Promoted AIF WW1, Second Lieutenant, 11th Infantry Battalion, Proceeded to France on 14/11/17 to join his Unit. Was sent to 10th Army School until 10/3/18 when he rejoined his Unit again.
10 Apr 1918: Wounded AIF WW1, Second Lieutenant, 11th Infantry Battalion, German Spring Offensive 1918, 11th Battalion Diary - 10/4/18 2nd Lieut D Sharp was wounded but remained on duty. 12/4/18 Duncan was admitted for GSW causing severe fracture of Right Fibula.
