Enlisted and served under alias Arthur Watson 

Mark SCOTT enlisted againt the wishes of his mother Annie JONES (nee HYNES) who would not provide her consent for him to enlist. Mark and his sister Vera were the product of a previous marriage by Annie to Mark SCOTT (senior). By the time of his death in 1917 Annie had married John Sturdy JONES and was residing with him in Bunny Park, Moulamein, NSW. Both Vera and Annie provided military authorities with Statutory Declartions to help prove his identity following his death recorded under the alias of Arthur WATSON.
