Son of John Osborne and Theresa Agnes Osborne nee Gumley of Montpelier Road, Hobart, Tasmania.

Commenced return to Australia on 31 March 1919 aborda HS Wandilo disembarking on 18 May 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Hobart.
