Biography contributed by Faithe Jones

Son of Graham and Edith GORE, 3 Keyworth Street, Leichhardt, Sydney, NSW

News has been received that Private Stewart Gore, well-known in the Inverell district, had been killed in action in France. He was 25 years of age, and lived for several years with  his uncle, Mr. John Strang, late of "Alandale," Inverell, and now of "Tatiara," Glen Innes. The late Private Gore was the great-grandson of the late Admiral John Gore, of Goulburn,  who was with Captain Cook when Australia was discovered. The many Inverell friends of the fallen hero will sincerely regret that such a fine young man has paid the supreme  penalty.

GORE.—Killed in France, May 8, Graham Stewart. Gore, brother of Rev. Clive Gore, Sudan, Africa, Lottie Gore, sod Doreen Gore, Drummoyne, aged 25 years.
