Son of William Daniel and Eliza Foster of Ballina, NSW.

Landed at Gallipoli on 25 Apr 1915. Taken POW by the Turks at Lone Pine on 08 Aug 1915.

Died on 08 May 1971 at Tully (Q) and is interred in the Tully Cemetery, North Queensland.
