He was born on the Isle of Sheppey, the son of Dennis Sullivan, R.N., and Georgina Lucy nee Shaw, of Sheerness, Kent, England,  and he is remembered on their grave at Sheerness Cemetery, Isle of Sheppey, Kent. He was 18 years old.
