"...2897 Private Charles Amos Woods, 9th Reinforcements, 6th Battalion, of Essendon, Vic. Pte Woods enlisted on 30 June 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Star of Victoria on 10 September 1915. He was killed in action on 10 May 1917 at Bullecourt, France. His brother, 464 Pte Horace James Woods, D Company, 7th Battalion, of Essendon, also served and was wounded at the Gallipoli Peninsula." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
