HE GAVE HIS LIFE FOR HIS COUNTRY
Another of our brave lads has made the supreme sacrifice, the sad news being received on Saturday last by His Worship the Mayor that Private Robert William Andrews, son of Mr and Mrs R. Andrews, of this town, was killed in action on 29th September last.
Deceased was a native of Bowen and had been on active service for over three years. He was a steady, industrious young man, and greatly respected. General sympathy is extended to bis relatives and to all those who are so pfuelly bit in this awful war by the loss of those who give their lives for our protection.
