Address at the time of enlistment was given as 'Athol', Carry Street, Marrickville, NSW.
Prior to arriving in Australia Charles had served with the 7th Battalion, Essex Regiment, Territorial Forces
Son of George O'Shaughnessy and Marianne O'Shaughnessy of Lily Road, Walthamstow, London, England.
Commenced return to Australia on 12 June 1919 aboard HT Port Darwin disembarking on 27 July 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Sydney.

During 1919c Charles married Zara Irene Robertson in Marickville, NSW
Later served with the Special Pay Corps pay staff with the number 87575 from 25 January 1919 till discharge
