During an attack by our troops this N.C.O. displayed great gallantry in organising company Lewis gun crews under heavy fire. He succeeded in getting his four teams up to the final objective, and personally placed each gun in position, and enabled a party to go forward and capture an enemy machine gun. Brother of William Frederick Hack, Henry (Harry) Alfred Hack who was killed in action while serving with the 12th Battalionnd has no known grave.
