Edward Thomas GAY was born on 26th April, 1896 at Tarraville, Victoria
His parents were Caleb Thomas GAY and Sarah PETERS
He enlisted in Melbourne on 31st December, 1915 and embarked with the 8th Field Artillery Brigade, 30th Battery on 20th May, 1916 on the HMAT Medic
Edward died of Illness (Tubercule on his lung) at Fargo Military Hospital, England on 2nd January, 1917 and is buried in the Durrington Cemetery (Grave 145)
