Son of Henry and Mary Ann Isabell DOHERTY, husband of Mrs E.M. DOHERTY, 17 Knight Street, Shepparton, Victoria.
Rev. N. D. Herring on, Friday, (on intimation from the Defence authorities) informed Mrs Doherty that her husband Pte. John Thomas Doherty, had been killed in action in France on October 4th. Pte. Doherty was well known in the Goulburn Valley, his people having followed farming pursuits in the Pine Lodge and Undera districts for many years. He leaves a widow and a family of three children, and was a son-in-law of Cr. E. S. Green.
