Private Thomas John Mather S/N 5727 - Born in 1884 in Toowoomba - Occupation Horse Driver - Enlisted 12 Jun 1916 age 29 - 26th Battalion AIF.
Died of Wounds 10 May 1917 Rouen France. Father Alfred Mather of Richmond Queensland & Mother Bridget. Thomas "Tom" was about 20 when the profile portriat was taken.
He was born 23 Oct 1884 and was actaully three years older than 29 when enlisting.
Never Married before leaving for the Front and then did not return.
