Son of Joseph Baker and Sarah Jane Baker nee Westrop of Kurrawang, WA. Brother of James Gordon Baker who returned to Australia on 1 June 1919 and served with the haaving served with the 11th Battalion. James carried the wounded Frank from the battlefield to the Casualty Clearing Station
