Son of Tom James and May Judd, of 240, Sydenham Rd., Marrickville, New South Wales.

THY WILL BE DONE

James served in France and was awarded the Military Medal at Messines for conspicuous Service.  Gassed on 29 April 1918 he returned to duty and was transferred to the 35th Battalion.  He made the supreme sacrifice 22 August 1918.

'The Brigade Commander has much pleasure in placing on record the name of this N.C.O. who was conspicuous for his bravery and gallantry in recent offensive [action]',18 June 1917.

Awarded Military Medal, 24 June 1917.

LIEUT. JUDD KILLED
Lieut. James Martin Judd, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Judd, of Marrickville, and formerly of Goulburn, was killed in action in France on August 21 last. Word was received at  Marrickville on Monday. The deceased soldier won the Military Medal for conspicuous bravery whilst serving with the forces in France. He enlisted about two years ago. Deceased  was a nephew of Mrs. Peter Drummond, of Clifford-street, Goulburn, and Mr. and Mrs. C. bye, also of Clifford-street, Goulburn He was about 22 years of age.
