Son of Herbert and Mabel Caroline Sharpe of 72 Ninth Street, Orange Grave, Johannesburg, South Africa

Medals: 1914-15 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal

Served an apprenticeship with Crown Mines Ltd, Johannesburg. Also served with the Wilwalenand Rifle during the Zulu uprising in1906 which make him 14 years old at the time
