Lincoln was born as Pat Lincoln Nordenfe LOONEY at Sunbury, Victoria on 21st March, 1889
His parents were Harry Michael LOONEY and Lizzie CHAPMAN

Lincoln LOONEY was 27yo when he joined the AIF in Melbourne on 16/8/1915. He left Australia on 5/1/1916 aboard the HMAT Afric as part of the 23rd Battalion.
In Egypt he was reassigned to the 58th Battalion. He was with this Battalion when, on 15/7/1916 he was killed, probably by shellfire while in the Fleubaix/Fromelles area. This was 4 days before the Fromelles Battle.
He is buried at the Rue-Petillon Military Cemetery, France.
