David Thomas Easterbrook

David did his basic training with B Coy, @nd Depot, Mitcham from 22 May to 15 June 1916. he arrived at Devonport, England on board HMT Ballarat on 30 September 1916 and was stationed at Codford with the 13th Training Battalion, prior to being sent to France with the 50th Battalion on 27 February 1917. David sustained severe wounds to the neck and face during action in Belgium on 10 June 1917. After treatment he was able to rejoin his unit in France on 24 October. The wounds sustained continued to trouble David, resulting in being admitted to Bath General Hospital in England for a week's treatment on 25 April 1918. David returned to Australia on 15 October 1919 and was discharged on 26 December 1919.
