Next of kin given as a friend Hona Jordan of Bohnock, via Cundletown, NSW later changed to Annie Hayde Grimshaw of Liverpool, NSW.
Commenced return to Australia on 8 August 1916 aboard HT Marathon disembarking on 24 September 1916 for discharge due to service no longer required as he had been suspected of disloyalty but he was never charged.
