Under severe machine gun fire, he went forward assisted in totally dislodging 4 posts with bombs and his revolver. He afterwards gave valuable assistance in organising and establishing forward posts after the enemy had been expelled. During the 29th/30th and 31st this sterling soldier has set a splendid example of bravery and determination.
