Father of William James Veitch who returned to Australia on 21 February 1917 having served with the 2nd Field Company Engineers.

Next of kin given as his sister C.M. Mackey of  Salisbury Street, Subiaco, WA.

Commenced return to Australia on 20  August 1915 aboard HT Themistocles disembarking on 2 September 1917 at Perth. On the 12 May 1917 he embarked HT Beltana for onward travel and discharged at Melbourne.
