On the Roll of Honour Circular his mother gave his age as about 34 years which makes his year of birth as 1882 however most other sources his year of birth works out as 1888c.

Son of Michael Byrne O'Neill and Jane O'Neill nee McDonald of Frasers Siding, South Johnstone, QLD.

Medals: 1914-1915 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal
