Biography

Graves registration units: A memorial Cross erected at Pozieres British Cemetery, Ovillers-la-Boisselles.

Director of graves 30 October 1917, Pozieres 3/4 miles >nE. of Albert.

Letter dated 15 March 1925.

From Amelia Stead 76 Bondi Rd Waverley.

Some time ago you wrote saying that my sons grave could not be found. Well I say that his grave is in the Memorial Plot, Pozieres British Cemetery. I went to France in 1921 & saw the cross; also 3 photographs were sent to me, so a mistake has been made. I got all information from the Schoolmaster of Pozieres, who is also the Mayor of the Town. The information I got from Australia House was all wrong. Hope ere this you have heard of the mistake.

There seems to be some confusion of where Harry has ended up.
