Arrived in Australia from China on 29 December 1912 aboard St. Albans disembarking at Cairns, QLD and applied for naturalisation on 18 July 1918

Address at the time of enlistment was given as Peoples' Palace Edward street, Brisbane, QLD.

Son of Fanny Vurhaft of Odessa, Russia.

Commenced return to Australia on 30 January 1918 aboard HT Euripides disembarking on 23 March 1918 at Melbourne then overland to Brisbane.

Medals: British War Medal, Victory Medal

In March 1924 he was living in Hayes Street, San Francisco, USA
