DUNN, Edward Ernest - Driver 3625, 2nd Field Artillery Brigade was the son of George and Euphemia (nee STONE) DUNN.
This is a very sad and mysterious or mismanaged event. The record holds virtually no information regarding Ernest Edward DUNN’s movements or his death most which is unusual. It is filled with constant pleas for
information from many individuals & organizations and responses which display lack of any factual information. Presumably the chaos at Gallipoli is the reason but for the family it was a tragedy.

Even when an identity disc is finally found and sent to his father in July 1920 no information is documented in his record regarding an exhumation and the record stands as No Known Grave.
George wrote on the back of the Receipt of the Consignment From the Defence Department when he signed and returned it in 1920 “ Thanks very much the disc is highly prized yours truly G.Dunn.”
