GEOFFREY MERVYN F AITHFULL was born in Sydney, New South Wales, on 3rd December, 1891. He is the son of Dr. Robert Lionel F aithfull, who  is a Director of the Bank of New South Wales, and Mrs. jessie Alice Faithfull. He was educated in Sydney.
Geoffrey Mervyn Faithfull enlisted on 21st August, 1917, and, as a member of the Army Medical Corps, was attached to the 33rd Battalion, A.I.F.

Death Announced
The death occurred in Sydney last night of Dr. Geoffrey M. Faithfull, of Inveralochy. Although he had been in indifferent health of late the news of  his death came as a profound shock to his many friends in the Goulburn district.
The late Dr. Falithfull, who was 49 years of age, was the son of the late Dr. Robert Faithfull, of Inveralochy and Moss Vale, and had spent practically the whole of his life in the district. When a young man he graduated in medicine at the Sydney University, and when the Great War broke out he enlisted and sae service overseas. For many years he had engaged in grazing and was one of the district's best known pastoralists. Dr. Faithfull was a well-known figure in the days of the Tirranna Picnic Races and also at the carnivals held by the Old Goulburn Polo Club. He was  also keenly interested in motor racing at one time and for several years was the Goulburn Motor Club's patron. In recent years he had interested  himself in big game fishing, and had made several visits to South Coast waters in this capacity. He is survived by his widow, formerly Miss Pascoe,  and two children, Pamela and John. The funeral will leave All Saints' Church, Woollahra, tomorrow morning.

The Perpetual Trustee Company (Ltd.) has applied for probate of the will of the late Dr. Geoffrey Mervyn Faithfull, of Inveralochy, Goulburn, his  estate being sworn at a net value of £136,158. The late Dr. Faithfull left his estate to his widow for life, with remainder to his children. The company is the sole executor of the will, which has been lodged by Messrs. Iceton, Faithfull and Baldock, the solicitors to the estate.
