Ernest John UNITT was born in Charters Towers, Queensland on 27th April, 1888
His parents were John UNITT & Mary CLARE
He married Elizabeth KINGSTON in Sydney in 1919
He enlisted in Casula, NSW on 6th December, 1915 and embarked from Sydney on the HMAT Wiltshire on 22nd August, 1916 with the 19th Battalion, 14th Reinforcements
He returned to Australia on 17th June, 1918 and was discharged as medically unit on 16th March, 1919
Ernest died on 15th April, 1927 from Illness due to his war service - he is buried in the Rookwood Cemetery in Sydney (Roman Catholic section)
