Son of John Orr and Kathleen (Kate) Mary Bernice Orr nee Walshe of Humffray Street south, Ballarat East, Victoria formerly of Horsham, Victoria.
Brother of John William Stewart Orr who returned to Australia on 17 February 1919 having served with the 3 Battalion Imperial Camel Corp and Charles Walshe Orr who returned to Australia on 11 October 1918 having served with the 1st Mobile Veterinary Section
Commenced return to Australia on 21 July 1917 aboard HT Euripides disembarking on 18 September 1917
