Son of Joseph and Emily Evans, of Gipps St., Port Fairy, Victoria, Australia.

IN MEMORY OF THE BELOVED SON OF J. & E. EVANS PORT FAIRY, VIC., AUST.

A cable was received on Thursday evening announcing that Private B.J. Evans was killed in action on the 4th February.  Private Evans was the second son of Mr. Joseph Evans of Port Fairy.  His older brother is also at the front.  He was a member of the Port Fairy Oddfellows' Lodge and is the first member lost on active service.
