Son of James ASPINALL and Sarah nee BENNETT.

John (Jack) William Aspinall, was the delayed interval “twin” brother of Charles Alfred Aspinall, being born four days earlier on 24 August 1894. He served with the 32nd battalion and was wounded in the hand, arm and head at Fromelles. He spend the rest of the war convalescing. In his own words he was “In the war for half a day”. According to the 32nd Battalion History he was was one of the last survivors of the post war battalion association.
