Son of George ATKINSON and Charlotte Jane nee MORSE. His father died when he was only 8 months old, hence he took the surname of his Step-father Charles MAZZUCHELLI who married his mother in 1894.
George Henry grew up believing he was George Henry Mazzuchelli (even though he was never legally adopted by his step father). His wife was always called Sarah Alma Mazzuchelli.
