Reginald Carlyle THRUCHLY was born in Newtown, Sydney in 1888

His parents were William John THRUCHLY & Rebecca Eliza PARKER who married in Sydney in 1883

He enlisted in Holdsworthy on 30th August, 1915 and embarked with the 4th Infantry Battalion, 12th reinforcements from Sydney on the HMAT Medic on 30th December, 1915

Reginald was Killed in Action in France on 3rd January, 1917 and is buried in the Bulls Road Cemetery

Inscription on his headstone reads:

"IN LOVING MEMORY OF OUR LOVED ONE

SLEEP ON BELOVED - TILL WE MEET"
