Son of James Horrocks and Margaret Anne Horrocks (nee McKee) of Narracan, Victoria later of Collie Burn near Collie, WA
Brother of Joseph Horrocks who died of wounds on 20 May 1915 while serving with the 11th Battalion
Medals: 1914-15 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal
Also served in the Collie Cadets and was known to be a good rider and good shot. He had been selected to represent the Cadets in a shooting contestg in Perth, WA
