[Births Mar 1889   Millgate John Hollingbourn 2a 758

He was 28 and the son of John C. and Susanna Millgate.

In Kent, he is commemorated on the Lenham war memorial. The Lenham village tribute is in the form of a large block of granite at the side of the parish church in Lenham. There are also 2 plaques inside the church itself containing the same names that appear on the tribute outside. There is also a John Millgate commemorated on the war memorial in Charing Heath (Holy Trinity) Church. But this could refer to Private John Edwin Millgate, Service Number 631492. 20th Battalion (Blackheath and Woolwich), London Regiment who died Sunday 1st October 1916 age 22 years.
