'During the period 25th February 1918 to September 1918, this Officer has done very fine work as Adjutant. During prctically the whole period his work ahs been heavy and his responsibility great. Since the end of March he has nearly always been in the line when the Battalion has been in. In the operations West of MORLANCOURT, MARRETT WOOD, HAMEL and during the offensive since 8th August he did conspicuously good work. When relieved from tour of duty by the Assistant Adjutant Lieut. BARNETT has invariably been a volunteer for reconnaissance and liaison duties an din carrying them out he has always displayted rexources and gallantry.'
