Son of Charles Sublet and Grace Sublet nee Swan of Rochester, Victoria. Brother of Harry (Henry) who returned to Australia on 17 June 1918 having served with the 5 Pioner Battalion

Husband of Sybil Sylvia Sublet nee Cambange of Surat, QLD. George and Sybil were married on the 9 December 1914. Father of Hogestina Sublet and George Sublet 

Commenced return to Australia on 21 December 1917 aboard HS Persic disembarking on the 12 February 1918 at Melbourne for overland travel to Queensland via Sydney
