Son of Ernest Heaslip Hickey and Mary Elizabeth Hickey nee Swan of Burgoyne Street, Northam, WA

On 23 February 1917 his mother wrote a note requesting that Patrick not be allowed to embarked until after he had turned 19 years of age after which Patrick had theier consent

Commenced return to Australia on 4 December 1918 aboard HT Argyllshre disembarking on the 19 January 1919

During 1927c Patrick married Lucy J. Williams in Perth, WA
