"THE LATE PRIVATE H. S. LAST
Private H. S. Last, 3rd Brigade of 10th Battalion, who died of wounds received at the Dardanelles, was the second son of Mrs. A. Last, of Klemzig. He was one of the first to enlist from the village, and spent his 21st year in Egypt. He was a fine young fellow, and highly respected by all who knew him. His older brother is now in camp." - from the Adelaide Chronicle 26 Jun 1915 (nla.gov.au)
