Private Edward Rose (8054, 12th Battalion) was born in 1902 in Bagdad, Tasmania. He was admitted to the Military Hospital at Sutton Veny on 22 May 1918 with measles and pneumonia, and died on 1 June 1918. He is buried in the Sutton Veny (St John) Churchyard, United Kingdom. His father wrote that he was 16½ years of age.
