Son of William O'Rourke and Susanna O'Rourke of Yilliming, East Narrogin, WA.

Brother of Samuel O'Rourke who was killed in action on 8 August 1915 while serving with the 16th Battalion and has no known grave. His name appears on the Lone Pine Memorial, Panel 56.
